If you need a refreshing change of pace from the relentless neon and chaos of the Vegas Strip, Makers & Finders is exactly where you need to head for a homestyle breakfast or lunch. Tucked away in the vibrant Arts District, this spot feels like a neighborhood hidden gem that locals have been fiercely guarding for years.

Inside, the cafe strikes a clean, modern aesthetic anchored by a small coffee bar. The background soundtrack is exceptionally well-curated, seamlessly transitioning between timeless classics and contemporary R&B. If you visit during Sunday brunch, you might catch a live musical performance, a welcome departure and it completely elevated the experience. Outside, the dog-friendly patio is lively and offers a great vantage point for soaking in the eclectic personality of the Arts District.

Hospitality here is noteworthy. Despite rolling in during the notoriously busy Sunday brunch rush, I was incredibly fortunate to be seated immediately. The front-of-house staff is exceptionally warm, welcoming, and remarkably patient. I did not feel like they were rushing to get me in and out to get the next party seated. This patience is appreciated because the menu is expansive, moving far beyond standard American breakfast staples. The strong Latin influence adds creativity and depth without feeling overwhelming, and the team genuinely wanted guests to enjoy discovering something new.

While their empanadas made from scratch appear to be the massive crowd favorite here, I chartered a different culinary course by starting with the Lavender Tres Leches Latte. Here's one recommendation: take a sip before stirring. The sweet tres leches foam is delicious on its own before it blends into the coffee, creating two distinct experiences in one drink.

After the previous night's adventures in Vegas, the Breakfast Burger was exactly what I needed. Every component tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared. The in-house hash browns were crisp, the fried egg was perfectly cooked, and the plantain chips were light, crunchy, and were not greasy or overly salted. Those house made touches have become increasingly rare, and they absolutely stand out here.

The Churro Waffle was the perfect finale. Crispy on the outside, soft and slightly doughy inside like a freshly made street churro, it came topped with house made churro butter and accompanied by mixed berry compote, tres leches butter, and warm maple syrup. Every bite felt was truly indulgent and I miss every minute of it as I write this.

Makers & Finders delivers a flawless, exceptional 5 out of 5-star brunch experience. There is an unmistakable soul to a kitchen that refuses to take shortcuts, and this Arts District staple proves that from-scratch execution is always worth the trip. Between the elite comfort food, patient hospitality, and live acoustics, they transform a standard morning meal into an absolute vibe.
