Steps away from the busy Resorts World casino floor, Gatsby’s Cocktail Lounge occupies a prime transitional space where the high-energy gaming area shifts into the resort's fine dining corridor. Its open-lounge concept is exceptionally inviting, making it seamless to grab a seat at the bar, claim a high table, or settle into one of their comfortable couches. The crowd is wonderfully diverse and on any given night you will see hotel guests stopping by for a post-dinner cocktail, corporate teams unwinding after a conference, and night-owls like me grabbing a final nightcap.
On the Saturday evening I stopped by, the DJ was spinning a steady stream of 90s and 2000s favorites. The music wasn't background noise; it became part of the evening's personality. Guests were getting up to dance, strangers were sharing the dance floor, and tables seemed to feed off each other's energy. None of this was curated, which made everything feel like a genuine experience of people sharing collective happiness and joy. The kind of place where you can relax on a couch, jump up when your song comes on, dance for a few minutes, then settle back in with a cocktail and do it all over again.
Despite being one of the busier lounges in Resorts World, service never felt rushed. The servers take their time with your order rather than rushing you, and they do an excellent job of keeping an eye on your table throughout the night. A special shout-out goes to Kiana, who took phenomenal care of our table. If you are lucky enough to get her as your server, you will be in expertly capable hands.
Gatsby’s boasts an extensive champagne and spirit menu, but I focused on their specialized cocktail execution.
Gatsby's boasts an impressive champagne and spirits program, making it an ideal destination for cocktail enthusiasts and celebratory occasions alike.
I started with the French 75, it's a classic cocktail that leaves little room for error, and Gatsby's executed it beautifully. Crafted with premium Monkey 47 gin, champagne, and a splash of fresh lemon juice, it arrives elegantly garnished with a lemon peel. It is beautifully balanced; the lemon oils perfectly complement the botanicals of the gin. It hits that elusive sweet spot—not too sugary, not too bitter, and free of any aggressive dryness from the champagne. It is a flawless sipping champagne cocktail that absolutely delivers.
The standout surprise of the evening was the Arrow Collar. Built around Patrón Reposado and Banane du Brésil, a banana liqueur blended with cognac. As someone who doesn't typically enjoy banana-flavored anything, I was cautiously optimistic. Fortunately, the drink was far more sophisticated than expected. The banana notes added depth and subtle sweetness without dominating the cocktail, while the reposado tequila contributed warmth and structure. It was creative and balanced with a tropical depth that catches you completely off guard. I would absolutely order it again without hesitation.
Gatsby’s is the perfect place for music lovers who enjoy premium drinks without the suffocating club environment, groups looking for a stylish celebratory spot, or solo travelers looking for a welcoming bar. Get the flawlessly balanced French 75 for something crisp, or the Arrow Collar if you want a complex, spirit-forward surprise. With its noteworthy champagne selection and highly adaptable energy, this is premier destination to raise your glass. It works beautifully whether you are celebrating a win with your work team, enjoying a night out with loved ones, or simply celebrating life on the Vegas Strip. Gatsby’s Cocktail Lounge earns an outstanding 4.85 out of 5 stars.
